Gayle Renee Ross was born October 28, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan to the union of Monroe and Clara Ross. She grew up on the eastside of Detroit, where she attended Kettering High School and received her GED. She went on to earn her associate degree at Wayne County Community College and her bachelor’s degree at William Tyndale College. Gayle gave her life to Christ at an early age.
Gayle had two sons, Darius Ross and Dale Hatch, prior to meeting her soulmate, Anthony “Heavy” Foster, who preceded her in death. From their union, one child was born, her daughter, Briana Chanel Foster.
Gayle worked at Blue Cross & Blue Shield in Detroit, Michigan before relocating to Gainesville, where she worked at Shands. She was full of life and loved working with kids and being with her family. She was multi-talented. Some of her talents were doing hair and being computer savvy. Gayle was the life of any party she was at.
She was preceded in death by her father, Monroe Ross, husband, Anthony “Heavy” Foster, and two brothers, Monroe Ross, Jr., and Sylvester Ross.Gayle leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Clara E. Ross; two sons, Darius Ross (Iaisha) and Dale Hatch II; daughter, Briana Chenell Foster; bonus daughter, Shawna Redd; one sister, DianeRoss; one grandson, Aaron Ross; four granddaughters, Desirae Ross, Heaven Ross, Lasyiah Redd, and Lacarra Redd; one great granddaughter, Narayah Monroe Lewis; three nephews, Deone Ross (Valerie), Anthony Ross (Amari-Jean), and Demetrius Ross; one niece, her baby, Janie Simpson; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, close family and friends who will truly miss her.
